Who Is Involved?
Dance Marathon brings together organizations from the entire spectrum of activities
at both Niles North and Niles West. Athletics, Fine Arts, and other clubs join together
to find creative ways to raise money for a new cause every year. The dancers
are all student volunteers who pledge to raise $60 when they sign up. Morale
Captains are responsible for keeping everyone lively and excited throughout the night
and are required to raise $120. Executive Board Members are required to raise $550.

When Did DM Begin?
Dance Marathon began in 2003 with a small group of Niles North Students. Now, every year, more awareness has been raised, and more students get involved! The amount of money raised for the primary beneficiary has also increased dramatically over the years. (yippie!)
The Executive Boards
Dance Marathon is almost exclusively run by student committees that go by the
name of the Dance Marathon Executive Boards. These students are required
to raise $550, showing extreme dedication to their cause. The 9 various
committees (Operations, Merchandise, Public Relations and Media, Special Events, Food and Corporations, Fundraising, Morale, Finance, and Outreach) organize every aspect from the start of the year to the end.
