This year's charity: The Harbour
The beneficiary selected this year is The Harbour. The Harbour is a community of support dedicated to providing emergency shelter and services to youth and single moms who are experiencing homelessness.

COMMITTED TO MAKING THE WORLD A BETTER PLACE
District 219 (Niles North and Niles West) joined forces in 2003 to create its own Dance Marathon, a completely student run organization that helps a different charity each year. Through canning, bakes sales, and fundraisers members of DM help the charity by raising money all year long. At the end of the year, there is an 8-hour dance marathon to celebrate all of the hard work and the total amount from the year of fundraising is revealed.
